ABOUT THIS JOB OPENING

We are looking for a production planner who is a hands-on technician and can effortlessly coordinate between external partners and internal departments. You are flexible, work in a structured manner, and have a strong eye for detail and manufacturability. This role offers a versatile position where you can have a direct impact on the production process.

As a work planner, you play a central role within the organization and are responsible for preparing projects. You juggle outsourced work—which you coordinate with external parties—and the preparation of in-house production, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. With your technical knowledge and systematic approach, you ensure efficient collaboration with suppliers and the smooth operation of ongoing tasks on the shop floor.

You regularly consult with your internal and external stakeholders to carry out projects as efficiently as possible. You are responsible for—and take ownership of—the progress, costs, and quality of your projects. You help improve the organization’s operations by asking critical questions and devising solutions to structural problems.

Your responsibilities:
– Coordinating and preparing internal production processes;
– Translating design drawings into workable production instructions;
– Drafting work instructions, bills of materials, and work documentation;
– Working closely with the Technical and Manufacturing departments and Compliance;
– You will coordinate and monitor the entire process of outsourced work related to material processing and serve as the primary
point of contact;
– Compiling complete documentation packages for external suppliers, including material lists, technical documentation, and
associated requirements;
– Evaluating supplier quotes with a focus on cost efficiency and manufacturability;
– Monitoring supplier performance (quality, lead time, costs);
– Verifying that delivered parts meet specified requirements and standards;
– Assisting with audits and the optimization of the supply chain;
– Identifying opportunities for improvement in production processes and feasibility;
– Determining the necessary tooling, equipment, and processing steps;
– Contributing to improvement programs such as standardization and lean methodologies.

Job Requirements
– You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of work and thinking (technical/mechanical engineering);
– You have approximately 5 years of experience in metalworking (sheet metal fabrication and/or machining);
– You have experience reading technical drawings;
– You have a hands-on approach and are well-organized;
– You have strong communication skills and are decisive;
– Experience with ERP systems is a must;
– Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude;
– Proficiency in English and Dutch (preferred)
– You are customer-friendly and service-oriented;
– You can handle stress well and know how to set priorities.

What do we offer?
– Competitive salary and excellent primary and secondary benefits
– Informal work atmosphere within a team of dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues in an international environment
– Opportunities to actively contribute to process optimization and quality improvement
– Work in a technical environment where continuous improvement is a priority
– Plenty of opportunities for professional development within a growing organization
– In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with coordinating responsibilities and make a direct contribution to an efficient, high-quality production process.
