Function

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Purchaser for an internationally oriented trading organization. This is an international organization based in Eindhoven. In this position, you will not only be expected to perform well in the area of purchasing, but also to demonstrate commitment, persuasiveness, and organizational skills.

As a Senior Purchaser, you will have frequent contact with existing suppliers, but you will also seek out new suppliers. You will also be constantly on the lookout for better and innovative products (commercial goods). Your responsibilities in this position will include the following:

• Conducting negotiations and maintaining contact with suppliers;
• Requesting quotes and following up on them;
• Contributing to the development of a professional purchasing organization;
• Assessing stock positions at the various locations;
• Keeping your own market and purchasing knowledge up to date;
• Coordination and alignment with internal international colleagues (purchasing, sales, etc.);
• Identify opportunities to respond to relevant developments in the market.

Job requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking in a commercial and/or purchasing field;
• Good verbal and written command of Dutch and English;
• Work experience with technically oriented products/components is a major advantage;
• You are commercially driven and a go-getter;
• You are honest and a true team player;
• You are available 40 hours per week,
• You dare to take initiative.
