ABOUT THIS JOB OPENING

The function

Your role is to coordinate, manage, and improve the activities of the production departments (a total of approximately 30 FTEs). You will directly manage two production team leaders and the back office staff. You will indirectly manage the other staff.

You are ultimately responsible for the production department and the processes surrounding it (including work preparation, back office, and the logistics process).

Every day, you coordinate the work schedule and work distribution with the production team coordinators to ensure that production orders are carried out according to plan. In addition, you translate the company's objectives into clear actions on the work floor and actively involve employees in the organization of (production) processes and their further optimization. You manage not only in the area of production, but also in the areas of safety, quality, output, and hygiene.

An important focus of the position is therefore coaching, motivating, inspiring, and developing employees, so that there is support for working according to (new) agreements. In addition, you will report process parameters to the Operations Director.

As a person, you have strong communication skills and can switch between all levels. You have a visible presence on the work floor and have a coaching style of leadership. You are results-driven and have a strong drive to continuously improve production processes. You have strong organizational skills and are able to quickly understand processes and procedures. In short, you are a production engineer through and through.

You are also jointly responsible for the warehouse and ensure that the logistics process runs smoothly.

We ask

For this position, we require:

• HBO working and thinking level (process engineering, mechanical engineering, or production engineering);
• You have at least 5 years of management experience in an international production environment;
• You have knowledge of various metals;
• You are available full-time;
• You are familiar with drawing up procedures and work instructions;
• You have knowledge of LEAN (and various methods in the field of process improvement and efficiency (6-Sigma));
• You are also familiar with the use of ERP systems and process automation systems.
• You work in a solution-oriented manner and are a motivator;
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.
