For our client, which operates in the manufacturing industry, we are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Mechanical Engineer. In this versatile role, you will collaborate on innovative mechanical engineering projects and contribute to both custom solutions and the further development of existing machines.

Your Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department and work closely with colleagues to develop technical solutions for a wide range of customer challenges. You will be involved in the entire design process, from concept development to implementation, translating customer needs and requirements into high-quality technical solutions. You have a practical mindset, think in terms of possibilities, and are constantly working to improve products and processes. Thanks to your analytical skills and communication abilities, you make a significant contribution to successful projects and optimal collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities • Designing and developing (components of) machines and systems;
• Preparing and managing technical documentation;
• Performing technical calculations and establishing design guidelines;
• Supervising and monitoring the production process;
• Participating in improvement and innovation projects;
• Identifying and resolving technical issues in designs;
• Supporting internal stakeholders and other departments;
• Actively contributing to concept development and engineering processes.

Your Profile
• HBO-level work and thinking skills (Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics);
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar position;
• Experience with machine design and development;
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies is a plus;
• Experience with ERP systems (Pre-CAD systems: Inventor, Solid Edge, or SolidWorks);
• Quality-conscious, results-oriented, and cost-conscious;
• Flexible mindset and a proactive work attitude;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Proficiency in Dutch and English.
