The function

Your role is to coordinate, manage, and improve the activities of the assembly department. Not only in terms of the assembly itself, but also in the areas of safety, quality, output, and hygiene. You are responsible for work planning and work distribution to ensure that work is carried out according to schedule. In addition, you translate the company's objectives into clear actions on the work floor and actively involve employees in the organization of (production) processes and their further optimization. An important focus of the position is therefore coaching, motivating, inspiring, and developing employees so that there is support for working according to (new) agreements. In short, you are a people manager through and through. You will manage production employees (+/-25 people).

Your duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Managing the daily assembly process and ensuring the organization, planning, coordination, and facilitation of optimal execution of work;
• Reporting and monitoring productivity, costs, quality, etc.;
• Optimal utilization and effectiveness of production resources and knows how to further professionalize this;
• Take initiative to improve quality and productivity;
• Maintain contact with support departments and external parties;
• Monitoring and ensuring safety in the workplace.

We ask

• Completed (technical) MBO+ or HBO education;
• At least 4 years of managerial experience within a production environment;
• Knowledge of the mechanical engineering world is a big plus;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
• Experience with implementing, defining, and improving assembly processes;
• Good knowledge of computer applications (including WMS system);
• Good communication skills and ability to switch gears quickly;
• Results-oriented and stress-resistant;
• You are a people manager;
• You are available full-time;
• Strong organizational skills and able to quickly understand processes and procedures.
