The function

Your role is to coordinate, manage, and improve the activities of the Warehouse & Assembly departments. This applies not only to assembly itself, but also to safety, quality, output, and hygiene. You are jointly responsible for work planning and distribution to ensure that work is carried out according to schedule. Additionally, you translate company objectives into clear actions on the shop floor and actively involve employees in the organization of (production) processes and their further optimization. A key focus of the position is therefore coaching, motivating, inspiring, and developing employees to create buy-in for working according to (new) agreements. In short, a People Manager through and through. You lead production employees (+/- 30 people). You report to the Assembly Manager.

Your duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Managing the daily production, assembly, and logistics process and ensuring the organization, planning, coordination, and facilitation of the optimal execution of activities;
• Reporting and monitoring productivity, costs, quality, etc.;
• Optimal utilization and effectiveness of production resources and knows how to further professionalize this;
• Take initiative to improve quality and productivity;
• Maintain contact with support departments and external parties;
• Monitoring and ensuring safety in the workplace.

We ask

• Completed (technical) MBO+ education;
• At least 5 years of experience within an assembly environment;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
• Experience with implementing, defining, and improving logistics/production/assembly processes;
• Good knowledge of computer applications (including WMS system);
• Good communication skills and ability to switch gears quickly;
• Results-oriented and stress-resistant;
• Strong organizational skills and able to quickly understand processes and procedures.
