Function

As an assistant controller, you report directly to the controller. The international finance team works closely together. Our client employs several international assistant controllers. These are enthusiastic colleagues who have earned their stripes in the controlling profession and are eager to welcome a new colleague to their team. You will monitor the financial administration and contribute to improving the organization's financial and other processes.

You will contribute to the international financial administration and support the controller in the broadest sense of the word. You will work closely with your (international) colleagues and stay up to date with what is going on at the client.

As Assistant Controller, you will prepare various reports in consultation with the Controller, enabling management to make informed decisions. You will be expected to take a critical look at the figures and the organization, asking questions and seeking solutions where possible. This is a dynamic position within a fast-paced business that will demand a lot from you. Some of your key tasks will include:

– Preparing various periodic and ad hoc reports;

– Issuing advice on the AO and financial policy (of the BUs);

– Continuous monitoring of financial administration;

– Jointly responsible for the annual accounts and payroll administration;

– Frequent coordination with colleagues in the finance department;

– Updating/optimizing financial data in ERP systems;

– Improving the organization's (financial) processes.

– You ensure that the necessary financial data is up to date and accurate;

-You advise colleagues (including the controller) on the financial status;
– monitors the progress of the planning and control cycle;

Job requirements

• HBO/WO degree (Accountancy or Business Economics);
• +/-5 years of work experience in finance (preferably with an international player);
• Experience with accounting in the broadest sense of the word;
• Available 32 to 40 hours;
• Knowledge and experience with various ERP systems;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English;
• You are a team player and work in a results-oriented manner;
• You work accurately and proactively.
